Quantum mechanics, cosmic fables, and æther/the akashic field

"Akasha is a sanskrit word meaning "ether/æther": all pervasive space.
Originally signifying "radiation" or "brilliance", in Indian philosophy akasha
was considered the first and most fundamental of the five elements - the others
being vata (air), agni (fire), ap (water), and prithivi (earth). Akasha embraces the
properties of all five elements: it is the womb from which everything we perceive with our
senses has emerged and into which everything will ultimately re-descend. The akashic record
(also called the akashic chronicle) is the enduring record of all that happens, and has ever happened
in space and time."

Science and the Akashic Field, Ervin Laszlo

The universe is an ensemble of seemingly separate objects, elementary particles, energies, and existences or realities, which interact with each other, in the same space-time, in both subtle and not so subtle manners, at least in the observable regions, and over a certain span of time; so long as the said universe exists (matter, in a localized region of space-time, cannot exceed the finite speed of light, therefore some things in space cannot interact with each other if they are too far apart, but yet again remain informed through æther). Science, especially quantum physics/mechanics (which is "a set of principles describing physical reality at the atomic level of matter (molecules and atoms) and the subatomic (electrons, protons, and even smaller particles)" wikipedia.org), has rediscovered an ancient Indian/Hindu concept known as Akasha. The universe is not simply made up of vibrating strings or separate elementary particles, but is constituted of continuous fields of an undetectable, invisible substance which records and carries information as well as energy throughout the vast plenum, thus the universe contains no true vacuum (empty space). This field, currently known as the cosmic Akashic Field is an underlying field which connects every single thing in the infinite confines of reality. It connects particles or quanta such as photons and electrons, then atoms and molecules from the microphysical reality and informs them, just as it informs organisms, complex beings and even galaxies. Ultimately, it informs everything; even our consciousness/mind. Consciousness, as Laszlo argues, is not just an accidental by-product of an ensemble of complex cognitive processes, but is an integral element stemming directly from the æther.

In contemporary physics, there is a concept known as Zero point field, an energy field, which can exist even at the staggeringly low degree of 0 Kelvin. In this condition, no other energies can subsist, and the medium in which this field is contained is the field of information, which is called the A-field or Akashic Field. This field is spread in equal parts at every single point in space and records the state of every single quantum particle at all times. Quantum particle information is then carried into every atom and molecule, therefore any organism, which also communicates back and is still part of the æther. The Akashic Field is therefore the memory of the universe, also recording every single thought, state of emotion, event and life of all the existing peoples. The æther or the Akashic Field can be accessible to anyone possessing the right methods of accessing it and can also transfer the will of the subject; it can then be concluded that it is the medium used during magickal workings where the magician sends forth his request. Æther can be divided and tied to a body and thus act as an immaterial vessel for the human spirit. It remains, even in this state, part of the great ætheric field. The contained æther records the thoughts, the will, the states of emotion, the words and the actions of its physical host and this imprint fuses back with the Akashic field upon the death of the subject. The universe possesses then the everlasting memory of the past life of each and every person. The æther can be considered to be a close substance to the spirit, but it is neither spiritual nor physical. I believe it is a substance that correlates and communicates with it and that spirit can travel through æther, just like cosmic energy, before reaching the core of Pleroma. Through æther all minds are connected, which explains the Jungian Collective Unconscious. No matter how far things are from each other, they inform each other instantly. Therefore distance or time in all the universe does not hinder connection. Whatever happens to one part, happens to another.

Science has discovered a puzzling phenomenon when it comes to the observation of quantum particles. As long as the particle is not observed or measured or activated by a certain interaction, it is in a state that has multiple realities. When there is interaction, the particle "collapses" from a superposition of all possible states and becomes resolved; the particle then takes on a single state. There is, at the moment, no possible way to predict which state the particle will take once that happens. The particle's choice of state seems indeterminate, entirely independent from the conditions or the environment which triggers its wave function collapse. But it is likely not indeterminate and certainly not random. According to physicist Hugh Everett, the state the particle has selected is not random, because there is no selection. Rather, all possible quantum states or quantum realities are realized every single time there is an interaction of some sort. They are however realized in all possible realities or all parallel universes, and the reason we can only observe one state, is because we can only observe from this limited reality (for now)! For example, in one universe the particle has taken a reality, whereas in our universe, the same particle has taken another; therefore it possesses many realities simultaneously. Consequently, a significantly elevated number of universes must exist (and not just two like in the example given), and they are thought to be separate and isolated from each other (as we are not aware of them).

Quantum particles (units of energy) that come in packets (quanta) are the smallest units of matter, force and light. They are not material but can still possess material properties such as mass and gravitation. When they become realized or when they are in the same quantum state, they become entangled with each other. They remain as such no matter the distance that exists between them or how far they travel from each other. When one connected quanta is interacted with and chooses a state, the others also choose a state that correlates to or complements the state of the first one, but do not take on the exact same state. This mysterious interconnection which is irrespective of time and space is known as "nonlocality". The information field records the state of particles and atoms and purports this information to other particles and atoms in corresponding states. The organism is therefore coherent as well; what happens to a single cell or organ, happens to other cells or organs. The organism also correlates to other organisms and its environment: what happens externally is reflected, in some way, internally as well; which reminds us of the entanglement that is so characteristic of the quanta. Correlative quantum processes therefore take place in all organisms. Without such correlation, it would be impossible for living organisms to evolve efficiently in their biosphere. The Akashic Field thus interconnects every single thing at the ultra micro and macro scales of reality.

To return to cosmic fables, there is also another intensely discussed cosmic fable or hypothesis when it comes to the universe: the holographic universe hypothesis. It explains how the universe might be a hologram, which is defined as a three-dimensional representation of all objects recorded. A holographic recording consists in a pattern of interference generated by two beams of light (like lasers), which contains the information of the contours of an object or several objects (since part of the light transmitted bounces off the object(s)). These contours are recreated through a photographic plate exposed with the interference patterns, which translates the patterns and reproduces a 3D visual effect of the object(s) recorded (when it is illuminated). The projected image appears to float and its perspective changes depending on which angle a person views it. The holographic universe hypothesis explains that all the information of the universe is stored on its periphery (which is two-dimensional) and then appears in three perceivable dimensions (and many more unperceived dimensions) inside the universe. The holographic principle helps to partially solve the dilemma of finding a perfect equation that relates the vibrations of strings in the universe (as they require many dimensions to be calculated logically). Scientists can then assume that the holographic universe consists of many dimensions (like ten or eleven), conserved in a smaller number of dimensions on its periphery. The memory of the universe is then a holographic field that scientists believe to be generated by the quantum vacuum.

Cosmology, which is a branch of metaphysics and astronomical science, aims to explain the nature, structure and relations of the universe. A multitude of mysterious observations have cropped up which further convince scientists just how coherent, correlative and complex the universe is; far more than anyone has dared to imagine. Observations such as the "missing mass" of the universe, the accelerating expansion of the universe and the coherence of the cosmic ratios are a few of them. These are current mysteries and seem to suggest that the universe is evolving, but not randomly; the elements which make up the universe alter proportionally to its evolution, therefore the universe remains consistent regardless of change! Scientists therefore conclude that the current universe we live in was not created by chance in the context of random fluctuations in the quantum vacuum. They hypothesize the cosmos was "born" in the womb of a meta-universe or metaverse. The metaverse is the mother universe, a pre-universe that is "beyond" all universes and in which all universes are generated. An accidental selection from the almost inconceivable number of possibilities in the chaotic fluctuations of the vacuum, which has led to such a mathematically precise universe, is astronomically unlikely. Laszlo suggests that there could be traces of information from prior universes present in the A-field of the prespace. Old universes could have informed the meta-universe of their configuration and the viability of such configurations and thus help create a much more fine-tuned and evolved universe where complex life forms can arise and be sustained.

How does the quantum vacuum record and purport information? There is an hypothesis known as the "torsion-wave theory" that shows particules, which have a quantum characteristic known as "spin", also possess a magnetic effect. This magnetic effect is registered as a minute vortex or vortice, which carries information just like magnetic impulses on a tape during recording or on a computer disk. The information carried matches or corresponds perfectly to the magnetic momentum of that very particle, therefore to its state. These minute spinning effects traverse through the vacuum and encounter others. When these torsion waves come together (in superposition), they cause an interference pattern which integrates the information of all the particules that created them. According to Russian physicists, torsion waves link the universe at a speed that is one billion times that of light. One must also note that the vacuum is also a frictionless medium, meaning that waves do not cancel each other out or even attenuate each other (because there is no force or resistance) and therefore the information carried in those waves remain in the vacuum ad infinitum.

"Vacuum vortices record information on the state of the particules that created them -
and their interference pattern records information on the ensemble of the particules
of which the vortices have interfered."

Science and the Akashic Field, Ervin Laszlo

Interconnectivity has been experienced between individuals since ancient, primitive times, and even between different cultures, which were distant from each other not only physically but in time as well, and which accounts for the shared ideas that make up their myths. Psychosomatically, there have been known effects on the self through a tuning of the mind, as well as telesomatic connections where one affects another through imagery, or any other form of representation, for instance. These days there are variants of this kind of "sympathetic magic" such as in the alternative medicine known as spiritual healing. The healer sends "healing information" and "healing energy" (undoubtedly by affecting the æther) which acts on the body of the patient. The healer and patient can be many miles apart and this does not alter the effectivity of such a healing process. There are also "transpersonal" contacts involving thought and image transference, telepathy, as well as the synchronization of electrical activity in the brain during meditation in different subjects, which electroencephalograph testing completely testifies, and which once again supports the idea of ætheric connection between individuals. As for consciousness being independent from the physical brain...there have been medical reports where patients which had suffered heart failure and gone through a near-death experience recalled the whole process as a highly-detailed vision when there was no recorded brain activity! The results of these experiments are convincing.

However, how does the æther know which is the most appropriate, relevant information to convey between things which are isomorphic? Is the most recent information, the most relevant? Is it merely a medium regulated by particules with communicate with each other through it? How does it make a selection from the vast information contained in its field and elsewhere when one tries to read something specific into it? Through conjugation? Then, how does it know, for instance, not to repeat information that proved unviable many æons ago (as in the configuration of very ancient universes) and create new configurations of universes that are better adapted? One can then think that perhaps æther possesses consciousness or intelligence. Perhaps this intelligence is the spirit and that, perhaps, at the very core of this ætheric field dwells the Pleroma. Is spirit then contained everywhere within all æther? Can one then surmise consciousness is conferred to the sun, the plants, all organisms and everything else just like us?
